My name is Amanda Courtney born outside of the Boston area, after high school I went to study metal-smithing and jewelry design at the Maine College of Art in Portland ME. Which then brought me to Los Angeles and from there I was tantalized by the super passionate and exciting food and wine scene that LA had to offer. It was then that I found my passion and where I got my wine degree at the Wine and Spirit Educational Trust. Working with wine, talking and educating people about the different regions and varieties and philosophies of the winemakers, I had found my true talent. I now live and work in one of the most important Wine areas in Italy, and I would like to give you a real personal look at Italy through a wine Lover’s eyes. Since making my home here in Italy in 2011, I have traveled the country extensively discovering all of the specifics of Italian wine, food, and culture.
Teaming up with Giovanni Albesano a local native to this beautiful land. He has spent most of his career working as an assistant winemaker for a very famous winery here in the Langhe. Having an extensive knowledge of the history, local cuisine, and wine know how we decided he would be a great addition to our team. His favorite hobby is not only to cook the traditional cuisine from this area but also he loves to eat.
