This November 2026, we’re heading to the heart of Piemonte for a food and wine tour that promises to be nothing short of unforgettable. I’ll be teaming up with longtime friend and chef Chad Colby—my former colleague from our days alongside Nancy Silverton at LA’s iconic Osteria Mozza. Since then, Chad has gone on to open Antico Nuovo, one of Los Angeles’ most beloved Southern Italian restaurants. Over six days, we’ll dive deep into Piemonte’s rich culinary traditions: think freshly made cheeses, slow-cooked meats, Barolo and Barbaresco wines, and, of course, the magic of white truffle season. Along the way, we’ll meet some of Chad and Amanda’s favorite producers and artisans, and you’ll even step into the kitchen with Chad to help craft a few seasonal meals that celebrate the bounty of the region. This is a trip for curious palates, passionate cooks, and lovers of all things Italian.

A Culinary Journey Through the Lakes and Piemonte

November 2026 | 7 Days | Lake Maggiore to the Langhe with Chef Chad Colby

Join us this November for an immersive, small-group food and wine adventure through Northern Italy, guided by acclaimed chef Chad Colby. Our journey begins on the serene shores of Lake Maggiore, where we’ll explore local markets, take a private cheese-aging tour at La Casera, and cruise the Borromean Islands. Along the way, we’ll stop in Piedmont’s rice country for a risotto feast with the Costardi Brothers and enjoy a tasting in the Gattinara wine region. Chad will introduce you to some of his favorite artisans, producers, and hidden culinary gems—many of whom he and Amanda have long relationships with.

From there, we head into the heart of Piemonte’s Langhe hills—home of Barolo, white truffles, and centuries-old food traditions. You’ll forage for truffles, visit a top Barolo winery, take a hands-on pasta class, and cook side-by-side with Chad using wild game and seasonal produce. We’ll stroll the bustling Alba market, meet local butchers and winemakers, and end our week with a lively pizza party under the stars. Whether you’re here to taste, learn, or simply soak in the good life, this journey blends culinary immersion with genuine connection—and it’s one you won’t want to miss.
